About Kuwait - Climate

Kuwait's weather consists mostly of hot long summers and short winters. From May to October the weather is very hot and in July and August shade temperatures rise to 50°-55° centigrade on most days; you can expect some humidity in August and September.  From October to April the weather is pleasant, though between December and February there are cold spells when heavier clothing and room heating may be necessary, especially during the evenings.  Most centrally air-conditioned accommodation provides heating as well.  The average rainfall is about six inches per year, all of it during the cool season.  During the winter months and in June and July there is occasional sand or dust storms.
